We offer some of the best services for expectant mothers and their babies. From childbirth education to a positive birthing experience, we are dedicated to providing families with a warm, relaxed atmosphere to experience one of life's greatest moments.

Childbirth Classes
We regularly hold childbirth classes to help expentant parents prepare for the birth of their baby. Classes include relaxing, breathing, medications and newborn baby care. They are offered in both English and Spanish. Click here for more information.

Labor & Delivery
Lake Chelan Community Hospital offers the extra care to ensure your birthing experience is both positive and memorable. Our staff of highly-trained providers gives you the care you deserve, while our friendly, family-oriented environment makes you feel at home during your baby's birth. 

Our special birthing room looks like a private bedroom, but it is also a fully-equipped medical unit with state-of-the-art maternity equipment tucked out of sight. An OB nurse is at hand during labor to support the mother and monitor the baby. If a Cesarean birth is necessary, our surgical team is ready to step in.

After delivery, babies and mothers stay together in one of our private rooms, where they can get to know each other in a relaxed, quiet atmostphere. Most families stay for at least 24 hours. A mother/baby nurse is close by to help and answer any questions you may have during your stay.

Postpartum Support
To support new mothers, we provide a three-day postpartum evaluation by a nurse trained to perform hearing screenings and lactation consultation. We weigh the baby and address any problems or concerns the new parents may have. We also work closely with the Chelan Valley Breastfeeding Coalition to support mothers wishing to breastfeed their babies. A lactation specialist is availalable upon request.
