funds to ensure healthcare facilities and services meet the needs of our
community.
Foundation Giving Campaign Dear Friends: I want to share with you a true story of patient care at our exceptional hospital. Within hours of implementation of the new Telestroke partnership with Swedish Hospital in Seattle, the hospital staff was able to implement the state of the art video consultation system, diagnose the medical stroke issues, begin early treatment, and provide for a much less severe stroke result, and ultimately a complete recovery. Fantastic!
Providing exceptional care with compassion and dignity is at the heart of Lake Chelan Community Hospital’s mission. Since 1981 your donations to the LCCH Foundation have been a part of that mission by supporting critical programs and funding equipment needs. These donations impact lives in our community by providing the most advanced equipment to our physicians and nurses who perform life saving procedures every day.
As the President this year, I am proud of our Board and the progress we have been making in a tough economy. We have adopted new operating policies, conducted a full day retreat, reorganized our committees, and rededicated ourselves to not only managing our donated funds, but also making sure our hospital is a “state of the art” facility with every piece of leading edge equipment needed to meet every medical emergency. Without our health, we really do not have a first rate quality of life!
Each of our monthly Board meetings start with a presentation by an employee of the hospital discussing the exciting new programs and procedures that have made the Lake Chelan Community Hospital, what has been recognized as the leading edge of patient care and at the top of ground breaking technology. This has been very exciting for us and has renewed our efforts to work hand in hand with the exceptional staff and the leadership of the Hospital Commission.
We now would like to count on you! Thanks to many of you who responded to our survey regarding the greatest equipment need for this next year. In consultation with the hospital’s professional staff we will use your donation for the highest need we can afford, based on the results of the annual giving campaign. All contributions are fully tax deductible under IRS regulations.

The Foundation Each year the LCCH Foundation purchases important equipment for your community hospital. This year, three items being considered are:
Emergency Room (ER) Heart Monitors These heart monitors would replace older outdated machines in the ER and would be part of an ongoing project to update all monitors in the hospital. They would allow specialists from your extended healthcare network to easily access the monitors’ information as they partner with your local healthcare team.
New Surgical Washer Disinfection Unit Lake Chelan’s surgical center has two operating rooms used for inpatient and outpatient surgeries. This new surgical washer would replace an older disinfection system, increase efficiency and improve patient care at your community hospital.
Hematology Instrument Lake Chelan Hospital has a full-time laboratory. This new hematology machine would replace one of the lab’s older instruments vital to patient care. It runs two more tests than the current model and would save time, helping your hospital care team quickly diagnose patients.
